How do you want your Soy?
Nature's plants and seed has always amazed us (we remember George Washington Carver). Can you say soy glue.Researchers have figured out a way to manufacture an adhesive (a glue) from soy. So instead of using it in foods, we can use it to assemble furniture!

Plagued with Water Retention?
Water retention generally occurs on account of flaws in the dietary regimen. Water retention foods that must be avoided so as to relieve the symptoms of water retention include excessive salt or sodium. Restrict foods with a higher content of sodium like legumes, meat, cheese, olives, spinach, oysters, buttermilk, Swiss chard, and chick peas. Also avoid processed or canned foods
Natural Remedies/Treatment for Water Retention
You may consume at least two bananas a day to avert water retention in your body. Bananas contain potassium which helps eliminate fluid retention.
Cabbage is a diuretic that helps you excrete the extra water and fluids, thereby protecting you from water retention.
Consuming cranberry juice can combat water retention on account of its diuretic property.
Consume yogurt to flush out excessive fluid content and prevent water retention in the body.
Parsley consumption may avert water retention. You must add two teaspoons of parsley leaves in boiling water, steep it for ten minutes, and then consume three cups of it in a day.
You may also consume tea containing alfalfa leaves as they are potent diuretics.
Eating a fiber rich diet helps draw toxins and moisture out of the tissues for excretion.
Onion juice may prevent water retention as well.
Eating 2 – 3 slices of garlic daily to prevent water retention
High caffeine consumption may cause dehydration which in turn leads to edema or water retention in the body.
Regular exercise helps flush out the toxins and extra water from the body

Canned good Convenience - At what cost?
We live in a world where convenience, not health, dictates our grocery shopping choices. In the short run, it may appear that cannned foods are both easier and more cost friendly than fresh produce options. We often think that canned veggies are better than no veggies at all. Think again!
Consider this:
BPA (Bisphenol-A) is an industrial chemical used to make liners for food and beverage cans.
BPA has been strongly linked to disruptions in the endocrine (hormonal) system.
We can all agree than canned food provides long term storage, survives external contamination and also provides a back up in the event of a food shortage. However, the majority of cans (Even those marked USDA Organic) contain dangerous BPA. With this in mind, it`s questionable whether canned goods are worth storing at all.
A 2008 article (http://www.naturalnews.com/025128_BPA_food_companies.html) featured only two companies that could confirm that their cans do not contain BPA. One company, Eden Foods, has been in the organic business for 40 years now. Eden confirms on their web site that they do not use BPA in their canned beans.
